Not to stomp on your wonderful ideas, but I think the new country system is fine just the way it is. Let's at least wait a while for everyone to get settled before we think about any additions to the system.

Hum, not bad. How about this for editing it.

Def = +10% bonus.
Atk = +1% bonus for every allied country you have.

Overall, I think that More Simple = Better. I think countries are kind of complicated already. Anything else would just push it over the edge, being too complicated and not as fun in my opinion.

However, I like the +10% defense bonus. That doesn't add much.
