Let me know if the above is working for you guys.
If there are any other files that need to be tampered with though, i don't know what to do
Edit: If the above doesnt work. Download the 1.2.6 .jar for Mac file from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?qweeq71fsebt4pz
And go into your programs file and navigate to minecraft>bin and replace the .jar with the one you just downloaded
OR
stick it in:
/Users/~Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/ where ~ is your username
and replace the one there with the one you just downloaded
