Sadly steam is being a complete douche. I upgraded my PC the other day and steam has decided I cannot trade items for 6 days due to me being logged on from a new device.
Apparently using the same IP and being a customer for the last 7 years stands for nothing -.-

So I tried Arma 2 to see if it would help my decision on Arma 3 and well yeah..
Playing through boot camp (tutorial) I come to the shooting range.
Didn't make the grade first time so chose to try again.
This resulted in a constant audio/text loop of "woohoo you should try again", chooses retry, "woohoo you should try again", chooses retry...rinse repeat.

Is this the kind of quality I should expect from Arma 3? If so no thanks >.<

That'll be cutting it close for the end of the sale... maybe try submitting a support ticket explaining the new computer and pointing out the IP being the same?

Or do you maybe have an email that you can check to be able to fully use the new computer sooner? A while ago, I used their smartphone app for the first time, and I was able to immediately start spending money on the store after I did what an automated email told me to in order to confirm that I have control of the account.

I don't know about Arma 3, but Arma 2 has the most extraordinarily, hilariously horrible voice acting I've ever experienced in a video game. Much of the dialog is dynamically pieced together from a list of separately-recorded words. This allows NPCs to give more detailed information, e.g. "enemy tank 200 meters to our right!" rather than "there's a tank!" Of course, this dynamic dialog sounds exactly as good as you'd expect a series of separately-recorded words to sound.

It's rather entertaining until it gets unbearably annoying.

Which is hilarious as I changed my password at least a month ago if not longer.
So should be good to trade by the weekend.
