How are we going to get name tags though? Without a wilderness wipe they are unobtainable. They are only found in strongholds, dungeons and nether fort chests.

There HAS to be wilderness wipe for every update that includes new terrain generation or things only find-able after a wipe.

I like this idea as intelli proposed. I played single player for a while on Monday after updating. Horses are very scarce. While just waiting for spawned in animals is you need to do to get horses, loosing one would not be fun.
