I suggest animals randomly spawn on a plot only if the plot has less than 5 animals. The animals are sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, wolfs, mooshrooms, and horses. I leave out ocelots because they're actually spawned separately with hostile mobs.
The number 5 should be changed when needed for ideal spawning.
This is an easy solution to a big problem. Animals spawn on plots up to a cap of 20 or 50. 20 or 50 is good if a player wants to keep an animal farm, but it's too much for random spawns.
