What is Colman Roads?

Colman Roads is a small Roadworks business striving to provide the community with aesthetically pleasing roads and pathways to walk on. Colman Roads hails from San Fran Disco, the hometown of it's founder, JonColmanator. JonColmanator is a bridge enthusiast who believes that the best means to travel from location to location is via the scenic route, soaking in the beautiful environment be it natural or manmade.

What can Colman Roads offer me?

Colman Roads can offer you a flexible choice between 28 different road designs, and even offer you the chance to suggest your own design for road construction. All road designs will be euthusiastically constructed at a cheap, affordable price with flexible payment methods, giving you more time to build other constructs. If you are not sure as to which design would go best with your buildings/settlement, you can ask for advice completely free of charge.

Why should I have a road constructed?

Roads make villages, towns, cities and travelling in between aethestically pleasing for all players and allows travelling players to soak in the joys of the environment around them. Roads also set out a distinct path for players to follow so they do not feel lost and do not wander too far into mob territory, making travel safe. Although not the fastest means of travel, walking on road is the most aesthetically pleasing and completely free method of travel which avoids the dangers of the Nether.

How does Colman Roads build?

Colman Roads build their roads 5 blocks wide (3 blocks for curbless roads), following the most straight and direct path possible, however, will build around private realms should it be necessary. This will always be the case unless by special request or any private realm owners agree to a road being built through their realm.

What if the most direct path is overseas or over a large drop?

This is not a problem, although it may be more expensive due to more materials being used, Colman Roads also construct bridges to cover oceans and cliffs by the shortest route possible. When building bridges, Colman Roads will always build the pathway part first as travel is most important, only when this is done will the supports of the bridge be built to make the bridge look more pleasing to the eye.

Do I have to supply the materials?

If Colman Roads has enough materials in store to satisfy your order, then you can choose not to supply materials and pay credits for the construction, you can choose to supply all the materials for the construct and only recieve a construction charge or you can use a combined payment (you supply a percentage of the materials will which deduct from the material charge).

If Colman Roads does not have enough materials in store to satisfy your order, you can choose to postpone your order until stores replenish, you can choose to supply all the materials for the construct and only recieve a construction charge or you can supply the materials missing for a reduced materials charge.

How much does a road cost?

The price of the road depends on the length of the construction and the materials used. All designs are displayed at the bottom of this post. Roads are priced per metre (1 block length = 1 metre) and bridges are priced per length (1 length = 16 metres). Road and Bridge prices are stated below, and use the designs as a guide as to which design suits your fancy:

Do I have to work out the fee?

If you wish to work out the fee for an order you may, and this will be checked by Colman Roads. Or, you can give the particular co-ordinates to Colman Roads and they can work out the fee for you and financially advise on which design to use. For specially defined paths, Colman Roads will work out the fee.

Is there an order form to fill out?

Yes, and Colman Roads is a first come first serve service, meaning the sooner you order the sooner Colman Roads will get back to you and the sooner your road will start being built. If you wish to cancel your order, edit your post to state that you are cancelling your order, Red stars denote areas that must be filled:

I believe this would be a great investment for many realms on the edge of Spawn City where the roads are dilapitated or where realms begin to come together in such a way where they become a maze and its difficult to manuever around them. I would love to see wealthy players fund expansions of the spawn roads outward to facilitate ease of use for newer players. After I finish my subway expansion, I will certainly comission some road works.

Great post! One of the best I've seen for a business. May I remind you that there is no 'edit' feature anymore, so it might have been better to make it an image instead.

On topic:

New Ebius needs a nether route. Talk to CHAOSiron13 about it, I won't be online for a while.
