 Re: New Auction Rules
2 questions:
- If an auctioneer is happy with a placed bit, can the "Ending Date" be changed to end at an earlier date?
or more to the point:
- May the auctioneer close an auction prematurely honoring the most recent bid?
Regards,

Regards, I've done this with every single auction I've held, so I'm assuming yes . However, I had to post "May end sooner" at the start of the post.

 Re: New Auction Rules
does someone have to make the end date be a specific point in time? or can it be "when nobody has bid for 24 hours" or "when we get to the first bid on the second page of bids" or " after dd/mm/yyyy (or mm/dd/yyyy) and when people stop bidding for 16 hours" kind of thing.

Regards, After the rest of the rambling that is my auction description, I post "I reserve the right to end the auction prematurely".This effectively states that a player may sell sooner than the end date. I have yet to recieve notice that this is not allowed, so as long as you do this, ending an auction at the OP's discretion should be fine.

It's really how you put it, I would post a comment or add to your main comment that the auction ends earlier. But I would suggest you do this with atleast 24h left to bid.

 Re: New Auction Rules
Main post update with "Fine Print". If in doubt whether something is acceptable, just remember that the point is to avoid shenanigans. Sellers and bidders should have a good idea of what they're getting into, and should never be completely surprised by something the other does.

 Re: New Auction Rules
Seriously? I am now forced to sell off my items in the auction/sell? You do know I have them and hold all rights to them till a satisfactory deal is made. -_- Or someone in-game needs them more then the bidders who placed a price in the auction/sell on the forums, or some other reason.
