Well, recently a new religion has been established (by me). I made a post about it and the first two replies i got from it were mostly negative. One person said that religions were getting annoying. I was wondering what The Minerealm Community thought about this subject. Thank you for your time.

GOOD, they could cause religious wars and keep Minerealm a good server.

Good, for other reasons.

For the most part, I think they are interesting and entertaining. They are certainly not all awesome, but they do add a little something extra to the server and make it fairly unique. The Rising Sun religion, to my knowledge, was started basically to encourage players to help each other out and be civil to one another. We largely went around building shelters and such in the first survival map. The religions seem to give some players a reason to keep playing when building and mining just aren't providing much entertainment. While the sudden explosion of religions can be somewhat annoying, for the most part it is harmless so long as players don't take them too seriously (it is a game after all).

In reference to the comment in the previous thread, about feeling bad about Minerealm religions in regards to your real life religion, I don't think that you need feel ashamed of participating in one. As I said earlier, it is just a game and if you don't take it too seriously, then there isn't much reason to worry.

I voted, because a religion is funny, and while annoying, doesn't seem to be any trouble at all.

I don't know. I just can't shake the feeling that I'm doing something wrong. I don't even go to Church that much anymore! I feel it can confect with some peoples real life religions and can make Minerealm a hostile place for some new people.
