Yes!! Thank you so much Intelli! Now I can build auto-minecart-material-sorting-queue technology for a mine-to-surface transport track (think multiple loading bays at mine level and docks at storage on surface, for different materials [diamond, iron etc] all using ONE track from mine to surface)

I thought minecarts will still despawn after being abandoned for a while. The "bug" was that they (rarely) disappeared as soon as you place them.

Edit: video is a little out of date, iron bars needed instead of ladders since the ladder hitbox was changed.
