I think its turns it into a bit of an odd system... people can start paying people tiny amounts of real cash to farm credits, which they can sell for more....

Starts a bit of an out of server economy, and i don't really like that. Its not an intentional in-built system, paying for credits is cheating the system, and those with money to burn in real life become the richest in the game as well, rather than the most dedicated to the server.

I like the Idea, it's hard to find work out were I live, therefor spending alot of my free time playing Mine realm for my lack of a job/life. this would help me to be able to get stuff around the house to snack on, or even get new game's / clothing at my own expense.

if the staff doesn't Care I officially Offer my Credits for Real money

$1.00 will get you 1,000 Mine realm Credit's seem's like a fair price to me considering the amount off effort put into making the credits.

Want to see people and yourself being ripped off by scammers, the server having a huge increase of bots and people only caring about money not structures or the community?
Well the 'Yes' button, and a sharp object, is for you!

The exchange rate between Minerealm virtual credits and real life currency doesn't matter. It throws off the economy because it brings in your personal life's wealth. Say there was a 12 year old on this server that doesn't have a paypal, or job, or credit card, or anything of the sort but still puts time into playing on the server. Is it a good thing we allow a 30 year old to come along and throw away $100 just to become the richest person on the server? Kingofturves spoke about something like this... all the wealth in the game should reflect effort put in to playing the game, not outside wealth. Do not factor in real life wealth.

No.

I don't think that how well off you are in real life should affect how well you can play a game online. To me this goes against everything MR stands for, such as no spawned items, no teleports etc to make this server more of an equal playing field for everyone involved, and I think that this could be ruined by a few kids with their parents credit cards managing to become super-rich and powerful, without earning their wealth.

I also think that as Donor's don't get a rc incentive, surely that shows that the server does not encourage exchanging IRL money for credits, as many servers that I know of offer a set amount of items/currency for those donating to the server.

So everyone, if you care about MR and it not being flooded by overpowered kids, who have done nothing to work towards getting what they have then please click the 'No' button.

Uh, we wouldn't be selling credits. It would be people who have earned credits selling them to other players.

Minerealm could make A LOT of money if you created a server which:
  • 1. Was full, 100% PVP
    2. Massive map
    3. Website-Built-In credit for cash auction system
    4. Credits do more things. MUCH more things.
    5. And other stuff which i cant think of...

The ability to RWT will break the game imo, I said game not economy. The purpose of the game is to get your cash yourself, work for it and by having the possibility to just buy it from someone for irl cash will make the credits less valuable over time. Reason here is inflation no matter how you turn it: people will try to farm credits like crazy which they wouldn't have in other scenarios, than sell it to players how are to lazy to do it. These lazy players will have less feeling for the money as of how much it is worth (in hours gameplay) and therefor the economy might give ruined a bit as well.
