I went to his store to sell my diamonds and buy some redstone. He walked up to me and set me on fire. Luckily I warped out just before I died. I went back to tell him off and he did it again. I don't have a picture of him setting me on fire the first time but I have a picture of him admitting to it and a video of him killing me by setting me on fire.

Indirect pvp under almost any circumstances is against the rules. The only possible excuses I can see for a somewhat "legal" pvp kill is a griefer/hacker running amok when no moderators are online. It's not "his own" fault, it is Dr.Companion Cube's for breaking the rules. If someone I don't like is in my realm, I tolerate them unti lthey leave. I do not lava/burn them because that is against the rules.

You forgot to tell the whole story. I told you to tell the WHOLE story.

He starts messaging me that he wants to buy redstone. I say 'sure'. He then asks if he could buy with diamond (Which I personally hate when I'm wanting RC) so I say 7 diamonds for my RS. He starts annoying me saying "Oh yeah It should be 3 diamonds x * x = y + x = 3 diamonds" and dancing around my store. I then ask him to leave (Pic below). He says "Make me" so I have to make him leave. After he somehow ports out. He comes back and starts annoying me again. I ask him to leave once more and then again he says "Make me" (Pic above).

I'd also like to note that I was told by admins that I'm allowed to use my lighter on people refusing to leave my realm.

I didn't think that you could warp if you were on fire. Or did they change that?

At any rate, you probably shouldn't have set him on fire. This doesn't seem bannable in this case. I think a warning would suffice, but it's also really not up to me. Perhaps in the future you should seal up your store so that only people you let in can enter (levers and doors and what-have-you).

Agreed with Saves, doesn't seem bannable. Seems both parties behaved improperly, albeit DrCompanionCube had every right to be annoyed. Also if a mod or admin told him he can light people on fire in his realm if they won't leave, well then I guess that settles that.

You can warp on fire if someone else is nearby you ( I don't know how far qualifies as "nearby", but yeah ). If no one else is around and you catch fire, you can't warp

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because he was being retarded and annoying, doesn't mean the rules on burning people are suspended. And if an admin did in fact tell you to break the rules, it sounds like they were setting you up to get banned unless you can produce evidence that an admin did okay you ignoring the rules.

On the flip side, this is hardly worth a ban, considering the guy didn't even die. Failed attempt at burning to death would be a pretty pathetic reason to ban someone.

I was burned by some player in his house, not even his realm, and panthers told me that since it was his land and I was trespassing that he didn't break any rules. Since DrCube and I are brother we shared this info in case someone tries to bother us or our customers.

I see what you mean there, and I somewhat agree with you, but I also disagree. He lit someone on fire, that is a rule infraction, death or not. Like ramien said, it is indirect PVP. PVP doesn't mean that the player has to die, it means they are fighting.

And, I have yet to see any evidence that it was a realm (I will go reread to make sure), so, they really have no room to talk.
