Hello,

Normally I would not have posted a disband request, but these permabanned individuals have been repeatedly logging to keep their realms from disbanding. Magical was banned on or before July 18th (when he made his appeal), and U2 was banned on/before July 22nd. It has been more than two and a half months since they were banned, and both of them logged in the past two days to once again keep their realms from disbanding. If this continues, the realms will never disband. It seems pointless for permabanned people to hold on to their realms, and make no use of them, when active people could build and keep things interesting.

Thanks,

-Neuro

Yes, I stumbled across some ugly glass cube of his earlier, and I thought 'hmm, I wish someone could do something worthwhile with this instead of just have a cube full of villagers no one can enter.'

It would be even better if this kind of thing was stopped at the source, if at all possible.
ie. in order to reset the realm timer you must be logged in for more than 5 minutes.

I understand people don't want to loose their things but perma means exactly that, permanent...

Actually, regular bans for over 30 days would then be a problem.
Why not just auto-disband realms of perma'd players a month or so after their 'death'.

Meant to hit quote not like......
I didn't think there were bans that lasted that long?

Set them to over the max ban period limit, sorted :D

One possible reason against disbanding ... Magical_Monkey8's realm contains a zombie pigman farm which was built by him AND his guild members. If it disbands and somebody other than a guild member buys it, then they will lose rights to the structure they helped create. Doesn't really seem fair to those guild members.

That doesn't mean to say that I wouldn't like to see them move to new owners - I would. I'm just not sure that a standard disband party is the best way to do it.

Well there is precedent for it. I think it was Shampoo_Lords realms that were disbanded by Rokkr upon VV requesting it, so I see no reason to not go ahead and disband all permabanned player's realms automatically.

And while it's unfortunate that Magical's realm might go to a non-guild member, it's sort of a "that's how the cookie crumbles" situation.
