About Yourself:
I’m a graduate living in Plymouth in the UK and hold time a job at a local supermarket working nights.
Started playing Minecraft in February of this year and discovered the Minerealm server when survival was midway through 2.0 in about March.
I’m an avid fan of playing Warhammer 40k and other Games workshop projects and run a local gaming club in Mary Tavy. When I started playing on the Minerealm server I was able to invite some fellow club members to join the Minerealm community bringing in new players to the server.
Qualifications:
Been a regular experienced player on this server since mid 2.0 survival server and a forum member since July 11th (Over 60 days).
I have a good community image and have made positive contributions to server life, including involvement in the Subway project; helping new players and old & helping others build up their plots.
I understand the role of moderator which is; to be impartia,l to thoroughly repair grief to players, to rend aid and assist with players questions, to keep chat under control, manage disputes between players, etc.
I keep cool under fire and remain calm and diplomatic under pressure.

Why you deserve this position:
I’m an idealist at heart, (introverted, intuitive, feeling & perceiving). My focus in life is on making the world a better place for people. My primary goal is to find out my meaning in life.
I’m a perfectionist and I drive myself hard in my quest for achieving goals that I have identified for myself.
Generally thoughtful and considerate, I’m a good listener and put people at ease. I can be quite reserved but have a very deep well of caring and I’m genuinely interested in understanding and helping people.
I’m a good mediator and typically good at solving other people’s conflicts, because I intuitively understand people’s perspectives and feelings and genuinely want to help them.

Availability: Work nights so I’m usually available 07:00 til 11:00 GMT and 18:00 til 21:00 and on my days off I’m often available throughout the day on my days off which are generally Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Anything else you wish to add:
I think I have the right requirements to be a moderator, I'm a active player and will continue to be active on the server and wish to be more able to respond and provide active help to all the players of the server.

King for mod!!!!

Ever since I started this server, i've known Kingofturves. I believe he is one of the nicest people on minerealm and could be an amazing moderator for the server.

Even just today, before I knew he had a mod application, he helped me out when I was being greifed at trade, even without mod / admin power. Two people stood in the room with me, and tried to steal the stuff as I threw it. He gave me some great advice, to keep my back to the door when trading so no one can come in.

I hope he gets the position.

Hey turves looks like you finally applied for a mod, and at the perfect time. Another purge just happened.


It seems if you make mod you could help out a ton with the cluttered bans section.

Only thing that needs to be changed in-game is your catering to new people.

They don't learn if you tell them step by step but they learn once all their diamonds get jacked.

Just change that and I vote Turves for Mod 2011!

I can't think of anyone on the server who handles himself in a more mature fashion (outside of existing mods). He's my "neighbor" on several of my realms, and each time I deal with him it's a joy. He's helped me on several building projects, including the destruction of structures on one of my purchased realms along with the community subway project. I've added him to a couple of realms for days on end, and I felt completely comfortable in trusting him when the risk was all mine.
He's handled himself in a mature and fair fashion as long as I've known him on this server. He's level headed and I can't recall a situation when he's said anything inappropriate or questionable. I think he has proper and fair judgement in situations that warrant it.
He's shown a degree of patience with new and young players that..is impressive. There's a couple of instances that I can think of where he's helped people crying out for help because they're new (you know the kind), and he's led them to public land, helped them get stared, and given tours for no reason other than to be helpful. He's a refreshing change in a game where it's easy to get caught up in "me". I think he plays to have fun and enjoy himself, and part of that to him is helping people.
He is also online at a time period when there are few if any mods online. He plays around 12-4am PST, and there have been several instances where it would have been nice to have a mod online.

Give this man a badge, and call him Mr.Mod!
