My suggestion is this: allow realm owners to toggle whether or not their realm is public (open for all to build on), yet they remain the owner and no others are able to purchase it.
I know this is probably going to be faced with criticism, but I'll still try. I've been with the server for a while now, and remember back in early 3.0 when the area around spawn was public. The area would be frequently griefed, but the community would always come together as a group and fix it. Now that that's gone, the sense of community is not what it used to be. This would also be great for cities, as it would allow them to make public tree farms, wheat farms, or even plain old creations, allowing the collaboration of countless others without the need to add them to the realm. This would present the problem of griefing, and the mod/admin's jobs don't need to be made any more difficult, so I'd also like to suggest that griefing in these realms is not able to be rolled back. This would allow groups of players to come together and fix it together, rather than having it simply roll back. Due to there being no need for rollbacks, Intelli would be able to disable block logging for these specific realms which may reduce a bit of the load on the server. Well that's about it. Feel free to post comments and such, but please, no arguments on this thread.
Edit: Perhaps rollbacks for only large griefing. There's no point in adding a feature that only makes the jobs of staff more difficult.
