As far as I understand, permabanned is permabanned.. Can anyone show an example of a permabanned player returning to our server?

Perhaps just introduce an 'indefinite ban' sentence. That way it is not permanent, but it is not guaranteed that you will ever be unbanned.

Pretty sure that's what a normal ban is.
Also, I think that it should be clarified that perma bans are permanant. It seems that people are getting the idea that they can be appealed.

Not the best formatted suggestion, the poll should have what we are voting for on it.

Just for the purpose of clarity, this was not considers as a poll. It came up as poll because this is the default in this section.

The topic should not be considered to get rid of perm-bans. I ask to get an understanding. As said, the reason why I brought up the question is that I feel that the community has been maturing and I am asking myself if there is room to change policies. Some of your comments are pretty good to get a better understanding. Thank you for this.

Perhaps it would also be helpful to hear the inside view of some staff members, actually they have to take care about the workload related to bans.

Further to my second question, if someone is perm'ed, what should happen to his/her property? Should it be confiscated? I don't think the current model makes sense in itself. If someone is banned for an unlimited period of time the punishment should be "all inclusive", ie. the property should be gone, or?

Don't just say you can prove it, go ahead and do so! I would definitely appreciate you adding that knowledge to this thread as I don't really pay attention to the status of banned players, and I think others might appreciate it too.

Oneman is still operating under the assumption (perceived or otherwise) that his perma will be overturned.

If Oneman is still thinking that his ban will be overturned, that's his problem. He knows he's permabanned and his appeals always get rejected. I don't blame staff for getting tired of wasting time responding to him.

And others such as texashitman talked to intelli about being able to make an appeal and was allowed to after being Permabanned and if the appeal was good enough they could of been unbanned. (Too Lazy to find thread)

And then I saw my name pop up a decent bit here such as "OneMan thinks he's getting unbanned" and such. And if anyone thinks that then they obviously didn't even read my appeal stating "I know the odds are highly against me". And then on the topic of this thread people judge people by what they've heard they don't even know the people. Somone said something around "as many times and things OneMan has said and done bad things he shouldn't be allowed back" this person only knew me for a slight portion (25 days maybe) they don't actually know what the person is like just their past.
