Please note that the following post is copied directly from a suggestion I have previously posted. It got rejected not due to lack of support, but due to lack of total votes. If you want this implemented, please vote so the same result doesn't happen twice. Twenty votes are needed in 48 hours, so please vote if you want this change!

After posting the thread above, it has come to my attention that all members are only able to send a single private message to 5 users at a time.
Raise the limit to twenty recipients, or if preferred by staff, remove the limit altogether.
I believe that the limit was introduced to stop spamming, as do others:
